Abstract
Petrochemical Industries has strategic importance in creating wealth and diversity of sources of national income, for its vital role in the growth and development of all economic and social sectors, they are present in every aspect of our daily life. Although Iraq possesses the possibilities of refining capacity enabled it in the seventies of the last century to launch an advanced petrochemical at the time, it had not been subjected to numerous wars and an economic blockad over two decades , which toppled all previous development effort . To marke Iraq possess have Iraq high competitive copabilities in universal markets, thanks to a number of comparative advantages available including gas supply and economic workforce, in addition to the low cost of production and marketing per ton in Iraq, compared to European countries, on the other hand. However, the design capacities of the petrochemical industry are not consistent the national economic ambitions, it does not pose only ( %001 ) globally and ( %2.9) an Arabs. To make Iraq occupy this economic position of the industry, it should be directed investments (national and foreign), to promote this vital sector, with the need to establish an integrated information network to keep up with all developments in the markets of production and global consumption .
