The effect of drought period and proline concentration on som macronutrients | ||

| Abstract | ||
| A pot experiment was conducted inside the botanical garden of College of Education, Ibn-Alhaitham during the growing season of 2010 . The aim of the experiment was to study the effect of four concentrations of proline .i.e.0, 25, 75 and 125 mg.l-1 on mung bean plants subjected to different levels of drought i.e.2,4 and 6 days in addition to the control treatment . Factorial experiment within C.R.D.was adopted with three replications. Seed were sown on June, 21st ,2010. Samples from the vegetative growth during two growth stages were taken, N,P,K,Ca and Mg were determined. Results revealed a decrease of studied nutrients concentration with increasing drought levels. Increasing proline concentration caused an increase of these nutrients. The concentration of 75 mg.l-1 proline without drought treatment gave the highest values of the above mentioned nutrients concentration. | ||
