Abstract
This experimental carried out on loamy sand soil , this soil treated with different concentration of soil conditioners such as 4,8% sedimentary clay, 4% organic matter, 4% residual of furfural , 1:1,1:0.75,1:0.50 mixture of organic matter and residual of furfural respectively , 5,10,15 % of polymer urea formaldehyde and 0.5% bitumen and all added on the basis of weight of dry soil. This study included effect on conditioners on some water properties which is there water content (pw), estimation of water in different tension 0,5, 10,15,20,----------,100 cm in addition to water tension at 1/3, 15bar ,and estimated saturated hydraulic conductivity (ks). The results showed that the additional of soil conditioners caused significant increased of soil moisture from 8.09% of control to 14.09% for mixture of organic matter and residual of furfural respectively at 1:1 , the soil moisture capacity at different tension increased with additional of soil conditioners, and then the increase the water content in lower tension was bigger than the effective of these additions of soil conditioners. Bitumen increased significantly in the saturated hydraulic conductivity (ks) comparatively with other treatments, which has been raised 0.211cmmint-1where as equal significant with the polymer treatment. |
