Abstract
This study was conducted by taking samples of water from five wells with different depths in the area corresponding to the junction of Al-Kifel in the province of Al-Najaf , and samples were collected during November 2011 by creating sampling bottles, depending on the type of analysis , the samples was saved in a good way until reaching the laboratory to conduct analysis of the ten basic variables which were defined as:- pH - value(PH) , Electrical connectivity (EC) , Turbidy , Total dissolved solid (TDS), Total suspended solid (TSS) , Total solids (TS) , biological Oxygen demand (BOD), Sulphate (SO4-2) , Chlorides (ClO-1) , and Carbonate (CO3-2) . Physical and Chemical results of the variables that have been previously identified that the concentrations of these variables minimal at the some wells and increased some wells , this indicates the occurrence of pollution the wells water , the main cause is the physicals and Chemicals pollutants that left over from the agricultural and service activities in the region .
