| Abstract | ||
| This study deals with a geomorphologic analysis of the steps of formulating of alluvial plain during the ancient periods, i.e., during Pleistocene and Holocene up to present. It also takes into consideration the old climatic conditions that control the area, which are the main role behind the formulation of the alluvial plain. During the late Pleistocene and the periods that followed it, these climatic conditions, that Iraq underwent, extremely influenced the area with a lot of rain, destructive floods that the rivers of Iraq encountered, Tigris, Euphrates, Karun, Karkheh, and other streams and ditches, which all transferred huge amounts of pile during different periods and eras. | ||
