| Abstract | ||
| The research has dealt with the morphometric characteristics of the river's turnings in five sections of the Euphrates representing the northern parts of the Western Plateau in Al-Anbar Governorate. Southern parts represent the beginning of the sedimentary plain within this governorate. Observations could be made on the effect of physical elements represented by liner and layer structures (kinds of rocks) and slope in addition to climate and natural plants and along with the variety of morphometric characteristics of those turnings and that generally slight effect of the sloping. Layer and liner structures have an effective and direct impact in the variation of the Morphometric Characteristics of the Euphrates turnings which is obvious in the effect of A'nah curved fold in the Euphrates turnings in the regions neighboring this fold. | ||
