Abstract

Regarding agricultural land divided agricultural land in Iraq into two area rain which avoided delving in. region irrigation, which has an area of (32) million acres located in the region of Central and South running them around (23) million acres the area irrigated annually convergence (l2)million acres due to follow system Altbooir and neglect that hit agricultural land in particular and the agricultural sector in general because of the security conditions of the country and the lack of rain. The decisive factor is the amount of water available per year and (56.631) billion m 3 is that contained annual insured in both rivers is 75% of the amount mentioned is contained water (42.5) billion m 3 per year because of the situation the Turkish and Syrian and Iranian and lack of commitment to quotas estimated in addition to losses large water through evaporation from reservoirs, the amount of water available for irrigation will be (35) billion m3 per year, which is enough to meet the needs of the Iraqi plan that aspires to find a plan that agricultural believes sufficient water resources.
