ABSTRACT :
The effect of water sponge crystal was studied using (5,10,15,20, gram) to loamy sand soil. This experiment includes15samples in three reps. using CRD.
Soil properties such as restricted water and shows a values between1560-1880 ml comparing with control which shows1450-1520ml each sample 2200ml. In addition to field capacity and water content according to number days that shows values successively 30.33-38.83% ,19.31-26.90% sequence, till the last day to values between 1.21-4.44% when the empty samples become between 0.71- 0.87%. All these confirm ably the water sponge crystal are kept water.
Porosity, bulk and particle density which demonstrate the capability of crystals improvement of these properties the porosity values was 53–58% comparing with control(53-55 %), may be constituted small pores in the soil because of swelling and shrinkage during moisture and dry .
Either chemical properties of soil such as EC with extract 1:5, pH , Ca2+ and Mg2+ are respectively 0.48-0.66dS m-1 ; 6.02-6.85; 7-17.1, 9 -14.4 meq L-1 comparing 0.70-0.72dS m-1 ; 6.10-6.35; 7-13.5 ; 8-14 meq L -1 the control. These crystal may be lighten salty concentration in the soil and conservatism pH change, as well as Ca2+ and Mg2+.
The statistical analysis shows least significant difference(LSD) between the samples such as restricted water quantity and field capacity 68.72,0.93 respectively. Calcium and magnesium ions in soil and infiltration which record least significant difference3.75 and 3.39; 2.89 and 6.16 respectively. These show development of soil properties. |
