| Al-Jawaheri is considered in the front amongst the great Arab poets in the modern age. He could، by his excellent talent which the Najaf environment enriched and molded as well as his earnestness and his continuous reading and keeping by heart a great deal of Arab poetry in all its objectives، had been honoured the nomination of the Greatest Arab Poet. This research is a study of Al-Jawaher's poem "Al- Raee" (The Shepherd) which he wrote influenced by the agricultural environment where he was working at that time.It is an analytic study in its linguistic، thoughts and theme.
