Abstract
This study was designed to characterized the correlation of lymphocytes CD3 and CD8 in gastric adenocarcinoma patients and to determine these two markers in relation with some aspects (age, gender, grade and stage) of those patients. The expression of correlation between CD3, CD8 and gastric cancer was assessed by immunohistochemistry assay.Results revealed that gastric tissue sections were collected from 46 patients with gastric adenocarcinoma who had undergone gastrectomy.These samples were collected during the period between September 2010 to Augest 2011.lymphocytes marker CD3 was detected immunohistochemically in 28 patients (60.86%) out of 46. So , the CD8 was detected in 19 (41.30%) out of 46 and the histological grade included 24,18 and 4 (poor, well and moderate) differentiated respectively and double of the malignancies were localized to the middle and lower third of the stomach stage 0,I and II.Also, results indicated that the positive results of CD3 was significantly higher related to each of age, gender, histological grade and stage of the tumor, whereas the positive results in cytotoxic T-lymphocyte CD8 was significantly higher related to each of grade, gender and histological stage of the tumor , but there was no significant correlation between CD8 expression and the age of these patients.
