Abstract
This paper suggests preliminary test shrinkage estimation techniques for the scale parameter ( ) and reliability function ( ) in right censored data from the two- parameter Weibull model. Two preliminary test shrinkage estimators are considered when a prior estimate of the scale parameter is available from the past experiences. The expressions of the bias, mean squared error and relative efficiency are derived and studied. Numerical computations for the bias and relative efficiency are given to judge the merits of the suggested preliminary test shrinkage estimators over the classical and similar estimators.
