| Because of the great importance of weather forecast in many sectors of human’s life, scientists are continually trying to develop Numerical Weather Prediction (NWP) models that can predict the weather accurately. In this study a single-level primitive equations model was applied to make predictions of wind speed and geopotential heights for Middle East region. Furthermore, some means such as mean geopotential heights, mean of potential vorticity and mean of total energy were predicted and studied. All predictions were comprised with the actual (measured) data to evaluate the results. Results showed that the model gave acceptable simulations for the first two days. The predicted values of means of geopotential heights, vorticity, and total energy had a good agreement with the actual ones. Further investigation of time step impact on simulation shows that the appropriate value of time step must be in the range 5-20 minute | ||
