| It was the goal of Mansour of building the city of Baghdad to take the capital and seat fixed for him and his family and his entourage, and his soldiers, and become the center of civilization includes cultural, economic, social, and be a major commercial center, and this requires providing transportation between the two sides, and set up and establish bridges to connect the city on both sides east and west, arose on the Tigris River Terminals and crossings and bridges and bridges, and the Abbasid caliphs often transferred positions bridges, and may be for military reasons for the purpose of facilitating the transfer of personnel between the two sides, or for reasons of social or economic, as there is a need to make some bridges in sensitive areas people need them to move between the side the western and eastern side of Baghdad. There are some bridges set up for the purposes of temporary military led role for a period of time and faded work out and neglected, and have nothing to do bridges the other, there are some bridges have been held and set up for the purposes of private and other public, as well as for commercial purposes to be transporting goods and commodities and foodstuffs easily between the two sides of Baghdad, as well as Ease of movement of people between the two sides, moreover, the use of bridges had been to three cases, the first held the bridge for private purposes بالخليفة Abbasi, and the second for military purposes and to facilitate the transfer of the soldiers, while the third case was for general purposes and to serve the people and to facilitate their affairs.
