| Abstract | ||
| In this work 2-(4-bromo phenyl)-4H-1,3-benzodioxin-4- one (1) was prepared from the reaction of salicylic acid with 4-bromo benzalehyde in the presence AlCl3-CH3COOH and then converted into N-amino derivative (2) by reaction with hydrazine hydrate.The derivatives (3-7) were prepared from appropriate anhydraides and N-amino derivative (2).The azomethines (8-15) were prepared from the corresponding aryl aldehydes or Ketones and N-amino derivative (2) which upon treatment with aroyl chloride and α-mercapto acetic acid yielded the corresponding derivatives (16-19) and (20-23) respectively. | ||
