| Abstract | ||
| The main aim of the present research is to measure radon concentration in Henna plants using SSNTDs. Samples were collected from different types of production countries (Arab Gulf Henna, Iraqi Henna and India Henna). Diffusion cylinder was used as measurement technique and CR – 39 plastic track detectors as a measurement device. Radon concentration in the air of samples Ca and inside samples CS were presented. The optimal etching time for CR – 39 track detectors with 1 mm thickness was studied. Also, the effective exposure time for radon exposure calculated. In addition to that, radon specific activity was calculated. Results show that high radon concentration was in Dulhan sample (0.640) Bq / m3 due to Ca and (28.791) Bq / m3 inside sample. The less concentration was recorded in Al – Malika sample which was of Ca equal to (0.117) Bq/m3and CS equal to (7.962) Bq/m3 followed by Basra sample which was of Ca equal to (0.240) Bq/m3and CS equal to (10.796) Bq/m3. | ||
