| Abstract | ||
| The relationship between the gray levels and linearity has been studded. Where the local image intensities are highly correlated in homogenous (non-edge) regions. Therefore, we used least square line-fitting algorithm to separate homogenous regions and non-homogenous regions and locate edges. So, can be assumed that the best approximation for local sorted image gray values in homogenous regions as a line function. The results oft his algorithm produced accurate and thin edges comparing with the results of the other edge detection operators. | ||
