| Abstract | ||
| This work involved the synthesis of new derivative of 1,3,4-thiadiazole through firstly Schiff base (1) of 2-amino-5-mercapto-1,3,4-thiadiazole (2) was synthesized, which under went nucleophilic substitution with bromoethyl acetate and was formed in the presence of EtONa. Subsequent reaction with hydrate hydrazide lead to the formation of hydrazide (4) with different aromatic aldehyde and ketones gave new Schiff bases (5-7) and subsequently heating with glacial acetic acid gave 1,3,4-oxadiazole (8,9,10). Secondly ,compound (11) when reacted with formaldehyde and secondary amines and Mannich bases (12,19) was formed. Further more, thirdly, ester (3) reacted with T.S.C to give derivative (20) which went to cyclization with NaOH to give triazole (21) and subsequent of (21) with allyl halide gives derivative (22) or conversion instead led to new derivative (22) which through its reaction with different aromatic aldehyde or acid chloride gave derivatives (24-27).The synthesized compounds were elucidated by some spectroscopy methods (IR and UV). | ||
