| Abstract | ||
| The Indian Community in Oman achieved a distinguished status in among its peers of the other foreign communities such as the Persian and Indian , because it depends on the historic and cultural relations that connected Oman with the Indian Peninsula for the previous centuries . No doubt , the Abadhian Imamate is considered as a basic feature of the near and far Omani history , and one of the important force that affected the events and developments and ruled people ,groups , emotions and the direction of most of the Omanis lives . The subject importance appeared in the attempt to study the nature of the relations between these two important forces . The study is divided into a set of topics; the first one deals with the historic roots of the Indian community in Oman and the development of its economic role .The second is devoted to the nature of their relation with Britain and the effect of its protection on supporting their domination .The third and fourth ones focuses on the concept of Imamate and its importance in the Omani history , its rule from 1868 to 1871 and its attitude towards the Indian community .The relation between the Indian community and the tribes `rise 1895 had been revealed in the fifth topic , while the sixth one throws light on the effects of the Imamate revolution in 1913 on the Indian community. The researcher referred to different resources and references , the foreign documental books were the first of them and the most important of these foreign books are the groups of J.A. Saldanah , R.W Baily and ( Oman secret documents ). As well as a set of the Arab and English thesis, the local writings and some of the translated , Arab and English Books. | ||
