	Comparative Anatomical and Histological study of Liver in Broilers From first day after hatch to sexual maturit

Abstract
The present study was carried out in the feild of poultry at the department of Animal Resource / college of Agriculture/Tikrit University during the period from 2nd. Oct. 2010 to 2nd. April. 2011. The study was performed to study the anatomical and histological comparison of the liver of the Broilers, Spp (ROSS) from first day after hatch to sexual maturity (150-180 day), and to clarify the effects of age on the structure of various parts of the liver. The results of the present work clarify that anatomical and histological variations in the liver gradual colouration of the liver was observed. This was started in the 1st and 2nd age groups and was yellow. This colour was turned to light red in the 3rd group, and the presence of yellow lines in the 4th age stage which was finally changed to deep red in the 5th age group. High significant increase in the mean percentage of the weight of both liver lobes was recorded compared to the 1st age stage. Also a significant decrease (P<0.05) of the mean percentage of length of both right and left liver lobes. The 1st age group recorded the highest value concerning the mean percentage of the liver length, compared to the 6th age group which recorded the lowest value. The sinusoids of the liver showed solitary koffer,s cells at the 6th age stage as well as the following stages.
