	A Survey Study of Antibiotics Dispensing Giving to Ruminant by Parenteral Route in Mosul Veterinary Teaching Hospital

Abstract
There was no recent and specific study about the antibiotics dispensing in the veterinary teaching hospital / University of Mosul for the period between January 2009 to the end of November 2012.The benefit of this study was for point out to the priorities of antibiotics dispensing in that hospital and detect the total number of the animals that diagnosed with bacterial diseases. As well as which type of the animals that highly illness with bacterial diseases. So, the aim of this study was a survey report for all types of antibiotics and which was highly dispensing.The total number of the ruminants that diagnosed with illness was (7517) , which consist of buffalo , cow , calves , ram , ewe , lamb , and goats for the period between January 2009 to the end of November 2012.The total number of ruminants that diagnosed with bacterial illness was (2510). The respiratory diseases were more common at (32.39 %) followed by digestive diseases at (30.07 %). While the ewe were the highly illness animals at (29.64 %), followed by the cow at (29.08 %). Penicillin-Streptomycin was the highly dispensing antibiotic at (30.15 %) followed by oxytetracyclin at (25.70 %) then tylosin at (13.59 %).The report referred to the priorities of antibiotics dispensing in the veterinary teaching hospital, which must be taken in consideration when ordering or importing the antibiotics
