	Effect of Consecutive Weaning and early on Milk Production and Growth Rate of Lambs of Awassi Sheep.

Abstract
This study was conducted on a stock of Awassi ewes belonged to the department of animal resources / college of agriculture and forestry/ Mosule University.From the single parturitions 38 lambs had been selected and divided in to 2 groups accordingto the sex of lambs .Each group had been divided randomly in to control and experimental groups with out presence of significant defference between the 4 groups at (p<0.05) in the first period of the study. Gradual weaning program were conducted for the experimental lambs at 3 weeks of age .The lambs were isolated from their dams for increasing periods of time ( 4,8,12,16) hours consequently over along 40 days then these lambs had been weaned completely at 8 weeks of age.While the control lambs had been leaved with their dams and weaned at 12 weeks of age. The quantity of milk obtained form the experiment lamb dams were 339.27 kg with average of 17.86 kg while the aveage of the concentrate ration was 242.63 gm / day for both experimental groups of lambs .From the calculation of milk and ration quantities consumed by experimental lambs the economic benefits were (709.95) thousand dinars with average of (37.36) thousand dinars /ewe. At age of 8 weeks at the end period of gradual weaning there was significant improvement in the control male lambs as compared with the experimental female lambs . and arthremetic improvement on other lambs. While at 12 weeks of age at the end period of normal weaning there was no significant differences between the lamb weights of the four groups .At 26 weeks of age at the end of fattening period there was significant increasment in the weight of experimental male lambs in compare with control lambs and this improves that there was growth and development of rumen in experimental male groups and the difference was with average of 3.02kg of live weight .
