Ability of the Probiotic Bacteria Lactobacillus spp. for Tolerating the Stomach and Intestine Conditions and its Sensitivity to Some Antibiotics | ||

| Abstract | ||
| This research was conducted in order to isolate and diagnose local therapeutics bacteria (probiotics) isolates (Lactobacillus spp.) and the study their ability to tolerance the stomach and intestine conditions (pH, the enzyme pepsin, bile salts) and some antibiotics if used in therapeutic pattern , the results showed isolate and diagnose (37) isolates a bacterium lactobacilli represented with species: Lactobacillus acidophilus and Lactobacillus delbrueckii subsp. bulgaricus and Lactobacillus casei subsp. casei and Lactobacillus pentosus and Lactobacillus helveticus and the isolates of Lactobacillus casei subsp. casei (isolated from adults feces) showed high capacity to survive in the gastric juice artificial medium for duration incubation (1 - 3) hours compared with the bacterial isolates and as well as their isolates capacity to growth in this medium, while Lactobacillus acidophilus isolates possessed higher capacity to grow in the presence of bile salts concentrations (0.3 , 0.5 and 1)% as for results of testing sensitivity to antibiotics showed that Lactobacillus casei subsp. casei (isolated from adults feces) were more resistant and the Lactobacillus acidophilus isolates were more sensitive to antibiotics. | ||
