Abstract
ABSTRACT: The research aims to identify the knowledge need of farmers in how to manage and invest in agricultural soils in the distract of zomar in general, determine the correlation significant between the knowledge needs of farmers and the independent variables in the search, the rank items of research according to the need of farmers have, including research (80) farmer and they represent (10%) of the research community of (800) Farms. For the purpose of obtaining data for research adopted questions to obtain personal composed of two parts first part included a number of questions to obtain information of personal, social, economic, associated with the knowledge need for farmers (age, educational level, area of agricultural land, the type of tenure of farm, number of years of agricultural work, sources for obtaining information on the management and investment of agricultural soils), while the second part included many items of knowledge need in how to manage the investment and agricultural soils, after the ensure face validity and content validity for items of scale, the reliability was found by the insiplit-half method ,where the reliability coefficient(0.84).After the unloading of data and then statistically analyzed using several statistical methods and the most important , percentages and simple Pearson correlation, Spearman brown, Chi-Square. The results showed that the knowledge needs of farmers in how to manage and invest agricultural soils in zomar distract in general is high, found a correlation significant positive between the knowledge need for farmers and the independent variables the following:- (age, educational level, , number of years of agricultural work, sources for obtaining information on the management and investment of agricultural soils, type of farm tenure, training courses), also did not show results and a correlation significant between the knowledge need for farmers and the independent variables as follows: (area of agricultural land, the type of tenure of farm),they also found that the top three items is (how to grow crop seeds in soil by correct methods, how to follow the agricultural cycles for grow crop in soil, how to use pesticides in the fight against diseases of plants cultivated soil) respectively, also recommends that a researcher working on the lift and enhance the knowledge level of farmers in how to manage and invest agricultural soils through the admission training courses on how to manage and invest agricultural soils, similar studies to identify the knowledge needs of farmers in how to manage the investment and agricultural soils in other parts of Iraq.
