Abstract
Study aimed to determine the effect of the site of husbandry in the concentration and the presence of some trace elements (Copper, Zinc, Manganese, Cadmium) in the blood of local sheep, where the study included a field survey was the collection of a hundred a blood sample from a hundred animals from rural areas corresponding to the city of Ramadi, and a hundred other desert areas near the city of humid Anbar province, this study included different ages and races for the period from the beginning of the month of November 2011 until the end of the month of October 2012 has been measuring the concentration of trace elements by atomic absorption spectrometer. The results showed after a statistical analysis of the data there is no significant difference in the concentration of elemental copper, cadmium between desert and rural, which were 0.399, 0.332 ppm and 0.114, 0.109 ppm for both elements, respectively, while outweigh the concentration of Zn morally at 0.01 < in the blood of sheep breeding desert compared of rural, which stood at 2.11, 0.86 ppm, respectively, either element manganese has moral superiority at the level of p <0.01 in the blood of sheep breeding desert 0.501 ppm compared to rural 0.278 ppm. The results of the study show decrease in the concentration of copper element so as to poverty Iraqi soil for this component and a slight increase non-toxic cadmium but interesting.
