| Abstract | ||
| The period from 1935 to 1958, which followed Iraq independence, is characterized by political instability featured by competition between notable political personalities over the issue of undertaking power which consequently resulted in continued governmental changes, too many parliament dissolutions and disorders in the country's internal conditions. This competition was intensified and strengthened after the death of King Faisal I in 1933 and shortly after the inauguration of King Ghazi and a struggle over power began within the leading elite. Tribes intervened in the struggle as the politicians used tribal chiefs to achieve their ends and that made Iraq come into a period of disputes, disturbances, military coups | ||
