Abstract
The first aim was to identify the motor response speed and the focus of attention at the University of Baghdad tennis players(2012-2013). The second and third aims were to identify the relationship between the motor response speed and focus attention with the performance of some basic skills of the research sample. The first hypothesis was: There is a discrepancy in the results of the motor response speed and the focus of attention at the University of Baghdad tennis players(2012-2013). The second hypothesis was: there is the a statistically significant relationship between the motor response speed and the focus of attention with the performance of some basic skills of the research sample. The researcher used the descriptive method on a sample consisted of (5) of the University of Baghdad tennis players(2012-2013). The researcher used the SPSS statistical bag to get the result. The most important conclusions were: The positive impact of the speed of motor response and the focus of attention in the performance of some basic tennis skills of the research sample. The most important recommendations: The need to pay attention to approaches that development of the motor response speed and the focus of attention because of its positive impact on the level of performance of the basic tennis skills .
