ABSTRACT :
A field experiment was conducted in winter of 2011-2012 ,at the fields of experiment of Department of Field crop,Facnlty of Agriculture, university of Babylon in Abugarag Iraq(Latitude N and Longitude East) The soil is loam to evaluate the response the growth and yield of four bread wheat cultivars to different planting patterns. The experiment was arranged as a split plot in a Randomized Complete Block Design(RCBD) with three replicatesTreatments of planting methods (broadcasting, drilling, furrow and raised-beds) occupied the main plots. While,The four wheat cultivers (Iraq,Latifya,Cham 6 and Tamoz 2)were put in the sub-plot. Results of this experiments revealed that Cham 6 cultivar gave ahighest mean of flag leaf area (35.63cm2), dry weight(0.60gm) and chlorophyll content (58.5SPAD). Cham 6 cultivar gave ahighest mean of number of spike(490 spike.m-2) and number of grain per spike (67.2 grain.spike-1). Raised-bed gave ahighest mean of flag leaf area(31.31cm2), dry weight (68.0gm), chlorophyll content(60,3SPAD), number of spike(462 spike.m2), number of grain per spike(69,7 grain.spike-1) and grain weight(36.7gm). |
