Abstract
Environmental pollution is one of the fundamental environmental problems after the global population explosion and the depletion of natural resources, pollution produced as a result of natural population increase and industrial and agricultural development and the use of many resources and poor environmental planning and failure to follow appropriate methods to address the sources of environmental pollution . Suffer Wasit province, of many types of environmental pollution most serious water pollution because it causes damage to the health of the population of the province , and also to air pollution which is increasing in the last ten years , as well as the pollution of the soil , which is increasing desertification and the emergence of the problem of waterlogging ( salinity ) and exit of large tracts of productive agricultural land in the province due to a shift to the use of agricultural resigned Other ( residential and industrial ) . Which threatens local food security in the province, and the best possible means to reduce environmental pollution is the presence of a local authority sequence of Environmental Affairs , and the need for the introduction of the environmental dimension in the development plans and projects and ages taking place in areas of the province .
