Abstract
Abstract In order to enrich the economic analysis tools that used by economic researcher, this paper tries to take advantage of one of these tools, the problem of transportation, and the possibility of its use in evaluating of foreign trade plans. The paper has shown that this tool is one of the important tools which can be used in evaluating the planning of this sector, if some adjustments have been achieved to the input data during the planning of imports and exports. In order to achieve the goal of the paper, This study has been divided into three section: first section deals with theories of foreign trade, the second section deals with analysis of development of Iraqi foreign trade, while the third section is the core of the paper which deals with the use of transportation problems in the evaluation of Iraqi foreign trade plans. The current research has arrived at the following conclusion: - It can be practically applied to the model of the problem of transportation in the evaluation of foreign trade sector plans (exports and imports of commodity) when making some minor changes, whether in the form or input data. - The use of the quantitative methods, including the model of transportation problem in the evaluation of foreign trade planning leads to improve the situation of foreign trade - The use of the model of transportation problem in the evaluation of planning of foreign trade does not require more effort and time and money when compared to the benefits of use.
