| Abstract | ||
| The present study conducted to evaluate the assemblage of fish community in Sulaibiat marsh, samples were collected monthly during the period from January to December 2009. Thirteen fish species were collected and belonged to six families. Cyprindae formed 7 species, whereas one species represent by the families Mugilidae (2species) Siluridae, Heteropuestidea, Mastacemblidae and Bagridae (1 species) . A total of 10186 fishes were collected during study period, its reached 735790g in total weight with monthly average ranged between 31750g-110025g. Kishni, Liza abu and Himri, Barbus luteus and Crucian carp Carassius carassius were found in all months. Kishni was the dominant catches in total number (4660 fishes) and rated 45.75% percent from total capture. The results showed Richness index (H) was 0.666-1.752. The highest values Diversity (HN) were recorded (1.486), meanwhile the lowest was 0.566. The Evenness (JN) was decreased in July (0.077) while maximum value (0.224) recorded in February. The Jaccared similarity index (SS) values were fluctuated between 20.00% (September-November) to 87.50% between (June-August) | ||
