| Abstract | ||
| Artemisia herba-alba (Asteraceae) is widely used by local population in folk medicine in middle east and north africa. Some previously isolated flavones prove to posses neurological activities. Now, we report the isolation of three additional flavones from aqueous ethanolic extract of the plant , 5,3'-Dihdroxy-6,7,4'-trimethoxy flavone(Eupatorin), 5,7,4'-Trihydroxy-6,3',5'-trimethoxy flavone, and 5,7,4'-Trihydroxy-6,3'-dimethoxy flavone(Jaceosidin). They were isolated by using column and TLC chromatography and their structures were confirmed by NMR,MS and UV spectra. | ||
