| Mecca and geographical relation with water In Islamic Ages There is a close relationship between the geographical nature of the city of Mecca and water, starting by name where it is believed that the name of Mecca is derived from the process of extracting the water therein as the Mak water means suck it ,that the name of Mecca comes from , as if nature morphologies of Mecca spread mountains, valleys and the nature of the soil valleys porous allow leakage of water into it to make it form pools of water underground and formed an important source of water wells, also contributed to its environment desert hot, dry high degree of evaporation and erratic rainfall and exposed to winds carrying dust and sand, as well as the composition of the rocky underground in Mecca and the presence of cracks and crevices and spacers which was a factor in groundwater recharge for some of the wells drilled in the rock. | ||
