| Abstract | ||
| This work present the specific activity of Uranium chain (Bi-214 , U/Ra) , Thorium chain (Th-232 , Ac-228) , K-40 and Cs-137 for six soil samples collected from different positions in AL-Rohban region ,Najaf-Iraq site. The studied samples were analyzed and the concentrations of radio isotopes were determined by - ray spectrometry using purity germanium (HPGe) detector (size “3x3”,30% efficiency ,FWHM 2KeV for the 1332KeV peak of Co-60 ) which is connected with MCA supply Genic ™2000 gamma analysis soft ware. average values of specific activity (Bi-214 , Ra-226 , Ac-228 , Th-202 , K-40 and Cs-137) were (47.93 , 81.87 , 5.03 , 1.63 , 126.3 and 3.5) Bq/Kg respectively . The mean values specific activity of isotopes in this study were in good agreement with those of the international values(IAEA) . | ||
