| Abstract | ||
| Operates the Caspian Sea region an important place in Russian relations - Iran because of the importance of this region derived from its strategic geographic location . And the content of primary resources , including the most important sources of energy : oil and natural gas . And consider both Russia and Iran to the region , according to what is dictated by the interests which , taking into consideration the importance and the quality of these interests each, we find that the policy of Russia and its perspective in the region vary with the policy and perspective Iran which , in a number of issues and positions , and in the issues and the positions of the other , we find match the vision of two states in the region . Due to the diversity of interests of Russian and Iranian and different in this strategic region and overlapping interests of the regional and international situation which has led to the existence of areas of cooperation Russian - Iran in the region and the strength of this collaboration vary according to the importance of the interests of the two countries. In contrast, if the divergence of interests to the existence of competing areas where Russia and Iran throughout the region in a way trying to achieve all of them state interests and gains at the expense of the other . | ||
