Abstract
Abstract : The research aims to answer the following questions 1-To what extent the skills of effective teaching in university teaching achieved? 2-Are there any significant differences in the diagnosis of this achievement according to variable of sex or stage?. 3-Are there any significant differences in the diagnosis of this achievement according to variable of humanities – practical?. The sample consisted of college of education students ,Basra University according to the all stages and all the scientific and humanitarian departments for 2006-2007 the research sample mentioned reached 240 students of both sexes randomly selected "third and fourth stages" . The researchers used Mnizl measure as a tool for the targets search detection , and used the weighted mean in the analysis of data as well as analysis of variance to determine differences according to sex and stage variable. The research found:- 1-Teaching practices of college of education lecturer is not at the required level according to international standards ,and there is a clear lack of standards in university teaching. 2-The effective teaching suffers a weakness in performance on all the variables, humanities or practical. Therefore,the researchers recommended a set of recommendations that would supports such educational practices and proposed a set of complementary research and studies to this topic.
