Abstract
Abstract: The required changes that occur in any country and of establishing values and the application of democracy requires that aims to achieve economic growth and raise the level of welfare of the community, as the democratic countries are always looking for new styles and advanced in the process of political decision-making and economic development and popular participation in the decision-making process. The economic policies in developing countries in general and the Arab particular suffer from the problem and decision-making due to the absence of democratic institutions, which leads to imbalance in the right economic policy aiming to achieve positive economic growth rates. In order to statement and analysis of the relationship between the variables of economic growth and the index of democracy in the research sample (two sets of developing countries and developed countries), was used analysis standard and using the model VAR, has said results of the analysis that the effect of increasing the Democracy Index on GDP growth was positive in developed countries, and vice versa , but the impact of democracy was weak or limited through analysis on economic growth, which requires the consolidation of the foundations of democracy and applied in all institutions of the state and in the various activities of political, economic and social order to achieve positive results in the Arab countries and this requires the will of the popular and strong government and supportive of the building of democracy to those countries .
