Abstract
The holly sherius are regarded ones of the important religious institutions, as well as they are places for congregate the peoples who are akin to a specific religion or doctrine . It is worth to mention that the holly sherius have suffered greatly in Iraq in recent years , many crimes have been committed against, such as the demolishing, acts against their sanctity and theft , for all that, combined by other reasons, most of the legislatures of the world has criminalized the act against the worshipping places, numerating the forms of these crimes and the punishments imposed on their committers . Owing to the paramount importance of the criminal protection for curbing these crimes, we discussed the entity of the criminal protection for the holly sherius , then numerating the forms of these crimes. We selected groups of states such as Egypt, Lebanon, Kuwait, to be focus for study of this subject , comparing their criminal legislations with their Iraqi counterpart .
