Abstract
The aim of the study has been restricted to answer the following two questions: 1-what is the effect of Instructional Games on achievement of the second Intermediate Students? 2-what is the effect of Instructional Games on attitudes of the second Intermediate Students toward physics? To achieve the aim of the research, the Researcher puts (8) hypotheses, for the purpose testing the correctness of the hypotheses, the Researcher make an experiment it is duration one term of the academic year. In this experiment, the Researcher designs his Instructional Games related to the curriculum content and they are also concerned with the aims of the first five chapters of physics textbook for the second Intermediate class. Al-Hur Al-Riyahi for boys and Al-Rabab for girls Intermediate schools were selected, from each school, a sample was chosen randomly from second – year – intermediate students, then this sample was distribute randomly also into two sections, and one of them was chosen randomly, to represent the experimental group, and other was a control to it. The total number of sample students was (123) male and female students, among the (60) students in school for boys, and (31) school boys in the experimental group and (29) school boys in control group. We also select (63) school girls from Al-Rabab Intermediate school for girls, (32) schools girls in the experimental group and (31) school girls in the control group. The two expermiental groups are taught by the Instructional Games and the two control groups are thought by the traditional method. The Researcher makes sure that the samples are equivalent in the terms of: (age, educational level of parents, the achievement in science for the first intermediate class, testing the accumulated scientific information in physics). The results of Research show the superintend of the experimental groups in achievement and attitude toward physics. In the light of the Research results, the Researcher recommends to pay a great deal of attention to the Instructional Games .
