Abstract
The present investigation describes the preparation of 5-triazolo-
[3,4-b]-thiazolidine-4-one derivatives [4] from 2-hydrazino thiazoline-
4-one [2], which was synthesized from the reaction of Rhodanine [1],
with hydrazine hydrate and converted to Schiff’s bases [3] by the
condensation different aromatic aldehydes.The synthesized Schiff’s
bases were cyclized by bromine in acetic acid to form triazole ring in
the new derivatives [4] , which might result in biologically active
agents.
The synthesized compounds were identified by their m.pts., IR
and UV-Visible, spectral data
