| Abstract | ||
| Intestinal parasitic infections are amongst the most common infections worldwide. This research carried out in different areas of Baghdad has shown that social and economical situation of individuals is an important cause in the prevalence of intestinal parasites. The objectives of current study were to determine their prevalence of intestinal parasitic infections in children among (1-13) years in Al-Habibiya and Al-Chiwadir regions. This study found that in this population, Enterobius vermicularis was the most frequent parasitic infection. (69.2%), (70.5%) in the studying areas. The relation between health and mothers education is well known in infections with intestinal parasites and the study has shown that the social and economical situation is an important cause in prevalence of intestinal parasites in addition poor sanitary and environmental conditions are known to be relevant in the propagation infection agents. | ||
