| Abstract | ||
| The importance of research was addressed to the progress made in the field of physical education and the importance of the mental state in the progress of sporting events, especially football. The importance of this research lies in identifying the proportions of the determination and the struggle required to be provided in the positions of each play positions and put them in a measure to help the coaches in the selection of players who possess readiness according to different play positions. This study aims to : 1- Building and rationing scale of determination and struggle for choosing advanced football players according to the play positions 2-appling this scale for choosing advanced football players according to the play positions Areas of research human domain / players Iraqi elite league clubs Temporal domain / 03/15/2011 to 20/07/2012 Spatial domain/ clubs stadiums. The researchers used a descriptive approach Conclusions : 1- The psychological scale is scientifically designed and fit for the selection of football players. 2 - levels of determination and the struggle of the football players Vary according play positions . Recommendations : 1 - Not neglect the psychological aspect in the process of selecting players according play position . 2 – Adopting measure in the process of selecting players according play position .. 3- Conduct periodic psychological tests for soccer players in each season to identifying their level . 4 - conducting similar research, especially in the events that are inherently dependent on play position | ||
