| With the beginning of the twentieth century the world has witnessed. Significant technical changes in the form of the emergence of technical schools sought to be free to approach modern ideas about innovations and new technologies. Bringing the work of art imposes its presence through the interaction of elements up to the beauty of the painting, to bring reality to the emergence of new forms of art through a culture of the artist and his relationship with reality A group of artists who have excelled in the use of color, which led to the emergence of a later artistic movements. It is outstanding in this area artist (Paul Gauguin), who tried to find work in the new laws for the color and reversed on the surface of the optical color and then load the spiritual and symbolic significance. This research came "The features of color in Paul Gauguin paintings". Which consists of four chapters. The first chapter where the methodological framework for research that is the problem of research, importance, objectives and then determine the terms. The research aims identify to: 1 - detection mechanism of operation and features of color in Gauguin paintings. 2 - revealed references affecting in the structural work of art. The second chapter included the theoretical framework. While the third chapter on research procedures included in the analysis of samples that included the work of Gauguin. The fourth chapter included, the results, including: 1 - confirmed Gauguin to solid colors in flat space which embodies the symbolic meanings through the liberation from the constraints of Impressionism. 2 - contrast, transitions between the surfaces, and different colors. Suggest a similarity between color and music. Which have benefited abstract movement | ||
