| Abstract | ||
| This paper is based on a preliminary idea that emphasizes the necessity of the relationship between the concept of the person in its sociological and philosophical aspect and its representation in the novel. The origin of this idea dates back to TzvetanTodorov who believes in the inseparability between the concepts of person and personality. As the history of novel reveals, many follow his heels. In order to validate his idea, Todorov points at the change which the personality endures as a result of the change in the society’s opinion of the person. This result from fact the concept of the person is closely related to the way the novelist envisions the world. Since, the novelists don’t have different and various visions of the world and reality, the presentation of man is varied, in the novel. This entails the acknowledgement of another fact: the vision produced by the writer about the world he is living in has nothing to do with the supposed faithfulness which he ought to adhere to in relation to reality since reality itself is a changeable concept, it is a must that we accept the principal of variety in the images of reality or the possibility of dividing it into small parts with which the writer can deal according to his own esthetic orientations and intellectual background. | ||
