Abstract
Aims: This study aimed to identify the educational levels of the population of Al-Karmah district. The study also aimed to highlight spatial variation and temporal changes, and to analyze the gathered data according to the results of the 1997 census and the field study in 2021. Methodology: The current study adopted the descriptive approach, as well as an analytical-inferential approach to investigate the variation and changes in educational levels within the administrative units of Al-Karmah district. Results: After analyzing the data, the results showed that there is a higher percentage of the population within educational levels (secondary and higher) in urban areas compared to rural areas. The results showed that this could be due to the variation in social, cultural, and economic activities between urban and rural areas, in addition to the lack of educational services in rural areas. Conclusions: It can be concluded that the joint cooperation and coordination between the Al-Karmah Education Department, Al-Anbar Education Directorate, and the Al-Anbar Statistics Directorate could enhance the educational services at all educational levels.
