| The study was conducted during the winter agricultural season 2023-2024 in the Tomato Cultivation Techniques Project of Basrah Agriculture Directorate in Khor Al-Zubair area. To evaluating four eggplant hybrids in terms of growth and yield grown under low plastic tunnels in the desert areas of southern Iraq. The results showed significant differences between the hybrids in growth and yield, as the hybrids Lucia and Bolt were significantly superior in plant height (97.3, 98.0) cm, stem diameter (2.40, 2.34) cm, respectively. The hybrid Lucia was superior in the number of branches (6.33), fruit weight (260.0 g) and diameter (7.93 cm). The hybrid Jawaher was superior in the number of leaves (118.3 leaves), dry matter percentage in the vegetative system (28.36%), and number of fruits (14.3 fruits). The hybrids Bolt and Jawaher were superior in leaf area (44.4, 43.5) dm2, respectively. The hybrid Bolt showed significant superiority in the yield per plant (2.600 kg), total yield (22.88 tons ha-1), fruit length (20.33 cm), dry matter percentage (26.17%), and vitamin C (11.25 mg). Per 100g fresh weight and percentage of total dissolved solids 6.46%. اجريت الدراسة خلال الموسم الزراعي الشتوي 2024-2023 في مشروع تقنات زراعة الطماطة التابع لمديرية زراعة البصرة في منطقة خور الزبير بهدف تقييم اربعة هجن من نباتات الباذنجان في النمو و الحاصل المزروعة تحت الانفاق البلاستيكية الواطئة في المناطق الصحراوية جنوب العراق .اظهرت النتائج وجود اختلافات معنوية بين الهجن في النمو و الحاصل اذ تفوقا الهجينين Lucia و Bolt معنويا في ارتفاع النبات (97.3,98.0) سم و قطر الساق وقطر الساق (2.40,2.34) سم وعلى التوالي و الهجين Lucia في عدد الافرع (6.33) و وزن الثمرة 260.0 غم و قطرها 7.93 سم و تفوق الهجين Jawaher في عدد الاوراق 118.3 ورقة ونسبة المادة الجافة في المجموع الخضري 28.36% وعدد الثمار14.3 ثمرة و تفوق الهجين Bolt و Jawaher في المساحة الورقية (44.4,43.5)دسم2 |
