| Abstract | ||
| The aim of this study was to investigate serum iron concentration, iron deficiency anemia in pregnant ewes and postnatal period. This study was conducted with 90 Iraq's ewes, hemoglobin (Hb), aspartate aminotransferase (AST), alanine aminotransferase (ALT) were measured to associated iron deficiency and iron deficiency anemia the sample was divided into three groups: control, pregnant and postnatal, AST and ALT were within the normal levels while serum iron level in pregnant group was low concentration 55.5±0.2 µg/dl in postnatal was 61.28 ±0.22 µg/dl and control group 70.5±0.14µg/dl this parameters was within normal level. Hemoglobin was significantly lower than normal values in pregnant and postnatal group while control group was within normal level. | ||
