| Abstract: The city is one social unit , distinct in itself in terms of its growing and functional development, the city differ from any other phenomenon, because it is associated with the activity of people that would appear in the city ,Al-Zubair is as other cities in Iraq witnessed a fast population growth leaded to a big urban expand. The population and urban dimension study provide a very important urban points about economic and social status which make the city witness unusual developments in the demographics ,economics and social properties for its population from one hand and functional structural properties developments with the other hand .As a result the city became unable to provide the population needs and demands with the required level, so it is no longer the urban environment which have all comfortable requirements for good life especially that the urban environment is not stable or rigid but in continuous change . | ||
